How to Listen to God
God is trying to reach you. He’s been trying to reach all of us. But how do you hear Him? How do you know it’s Him? Maybe this will help.
Since last year, the start of our Angel journey, I’ve been told over and over again that I need to listen more, that God is trying to reach me, that I need to hear, that I need to have faith. But what does that mean? How do I listen? I didn’t understand, and as many times as I asked those questions I got the same response: You need to listen. You need to hear. You need to have faith.
I have a dichotomous personality. I’m organized and scattered: everything has a place yet the place is always a mess. My house is reflective of my brain, and so is my faith. I will entertain any possibility and love to explore theories, but I will only truly believe something if I have rock-solid proof. And sometimes I have to be hit over the head with that proof to even see that it exists. I’m stubborn like that. I question everything, always have. I need to know why, about everything. I tell my children that if you have a question, ask. And if you don’t get a satisfactory answer, ask again until you do. And so I asked, and I asked. How do I listen? How do I hear? How do I have faith? It turns out the answer to all three questions is the same: it’s You.
Have you ever heard a little voice in your head urging you to do something, or warning you not to? Have you ever had a feeling that was so strong you couldn’t ignore it? Have you ever just known something, something you were never taught? That is God trying to reach you.
Last night I published the story of the first proof I was given that God and Angels are real. I received a lot more proof after that (I’m stubborn, remember?- I’ll detail them in future posts) but once I learned how to hear, I realized I’d been receiving proofs my whole life. God has been trying to reach me since I stopped listening to Him. I could hear him as a child- I think we all can- but as I grew up and went to school but not to church, I started to ignore that voice inside me. I wanted to have fun and that voice was a drag. So I stopped listening, and I had a lot of fun, and eventually I grew up and out of the party life, as most of us do. But something was missing and I didn’t even know it. I went from consciously ignoring that voice to blocking it entirely, and now when I needed it most it wasn’t there. I needed to reconnect to God, to the Source, but I didn’t know how. An Archangel of God literally came to tell me that I needed to listen, that I needed to hear, that God was trying to reach me, and I couldn’t do it. Even more than that, I was in denial that I wasn’t doing it! I even argued with the angel that I listened all the time! How arrogant and naive I was…
Enough babbling, here’s what I learned, and not the cryptic shit that the angel told me. We are all, at the core, energy beings. We are all connected to each other, and to the Source (God). If you’ve ever tried to ground yourself and astral project you may understand what I mean… in grounding you’re taught to find your core chakra and imagine a rope of light extending from your chakra down into Mother Earth and up to the Source. That rope of light is your soul, and while it’s connected to your physical body and to the Source it can also be separated, both from your body and from the Source (FYI that’s REALLY bad- don’t try that at home).
So how do you listen, hear and have faith? Without getting hit over the head by an Archangel? (It’s kind of a traumatic experience the first few times, fyi. And once you get used to one another one comes and freaks you out…. Future stories). Remember when I said the answer is You? It literally is. Inside you. You need to reconnect to your soul, and to the Source through your soul.
Turn off your phone (once you’re done reading this, lol), your tablet, your computer, your TV- all the distractions that drown You out. Go outside in nature and sit under a tree. Take your shoes off and put your bare feet in the dirt (unless it’s really cold or snowing, then skip that part). Close your eyes and listen. Listen to the birds and the bugs, the wind rustling the leaves in the trees. (Did you know that birds and bugs sing at 428 or 532hz? God’s healing frequencies.) Find your grace. Find You.
Let go of your stress and worry and anxiety- send your negative energy up your rope of light with a prayer that it be transmuted to positive energy and returned to you with grace.
Let go of your fear. Fear is the biggest blockage in your soul. Let it go. What are you afraid of? Face your fears inside yourself and send them up to the Source as well with a prayer that your fears be transmuted to curiosity and returned to you with grace.
In the Bible God tells us Do Not Fear 365 times, once for every day of the year, more than anything else. Why is this the most important thing God tells you? Because fear blocks His ability to reach you! Fear can separate your soul! When you let go of your fears and give them to Him, you will truly feel safe and calm and protected for the first time since the last time you truly spoke to God.
That feeling- Grace- is your proof for your faith. Once you find your grace, listening is easy and hearing is instant. You won’t have to go back out into nature to find it, though you’ll want to. It’s very refreshing, like you’re quenching your soul after a long, bitter drought. You won’t get annoyed as easily, you won’t be quick to anger, and when you do your anger will be righteous. God has a plan for you. He has a plan for all of us. You just need to listen!
Because really, God plans and Man laughs- our free will can be our salvation or our downfall. We are on a rollercoaster of God’s design, but if you don’t listen, if you don’t hear, if you don’t find out God’s plan for you, you’re at risk of jumping off that rollercoaster into oblivion. So find your soul inside yourself, reconnect to the Source, listen to God, and we can save the world together.
Lol i should not have been so frustrated with my Uncles birds who sang so loudly while we were there and just enjoyed the healing they were bringing. Sure was loud though! My Aunt said they sing when ple are around to wish you well.
God is bringing fibers of light all the way into your home.
